Living Well is an application designed to improve the quality of life and reduce stress, anxiety, and depression symptoms related to cancer diagnosis and treatment at different stages of cancer.
It is dedicated to adult cancer patients, caregivers of cancer patients and cancer survivors.
The application can be used as a tool complementing treatment or as a sole intervention. The use of the application, we will encourage patients to build healthy habits, manage their new situation better and live a happier and more fulfilling life.
Living Well is a class I medical device in accordance with the Council Directive 93/42/EEC, on medical devices (MDD). The certification ensures adherance with highest European standards.
Living Well has been developed by world-renowned experts in the fields of psycho-oncology, CBT, user experience, data science, and of course the patients themselves.
The application’s content is based on scientific facts, clinically validated methods and draws on the lived experience of patients. It sources from a well-recognised psychotherapeutic approach.
Living Well follows the highest data security standards (ISO/IEC 27001) to ensure that any data collected from patients is safe and only available to those who are authorised to use it.
Our experts in user experience and game design introduced tools that will ensure that the application engaging and tailored to the patients' needs through AI. It aims to encourage further use and the programme completion.
Our app has gone through extensive user testing and is currently a part of 3 ongoing clinical trials - in Poland, Germany and the US.
The sessions cover three different content areas: regulating emotions, cognitive work with negative thoughts, and planning and behavioural activation. The patient should be able to and will be encouraged to complete at least 3 sessions per week. A single session takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
Living Well includes a large number of exercises that patients can use during the programme, this includes: breathing exercises, work with imagination, vital activities, mindfulness, gratitude and more.
Patients will be encouraged to use the emotions test at least once a week and to complete a daily stress thermometer. This will not only help them see their progress, identify problem areas, but also will be a great tool for the physician or a therapist working with them.
Alongside the lessons and exercises, the application includes a vast number of resources that the patients can use at any time. This includes a number of articles, Q&A and podcasts. The application also includes a number of patients’ stories that can provide a source of support for the existing users.
